They offer personal auto insurance coverage in the name of the PACTE program and are offered only in Quebec. This program has 2 options. The PACTE coverage is automatically available to customers who have their home and car insurance with L’Union Canadienne. This offers basic and additional coverage. The PACTE+ offers more enhanced protection and the customers who have bundled their home and car insurance policies for 2-year terms get this option at no extra cost.
- With PACTE coverage, you may not have to pay a deductible if your car is a total loss of up to $500. And with PACTE+ coverage this limit is up to $1000. For a hit-and-run collision, you may not pay a deductible up to $500.
- You may claim for rental expenses up to $1500 per car per incident with PACTE and with PACTE+ coverage you may claim up to $2000. There is no limit per day.
- Also, you may claim for meals, transportation, and lodging expenses up to $750 with PACTE, and with PACTE+ you may claim up to $1000.
- There is coverage for rental or borrowed vehicles up to a limit of $40000 with PACTE and this is up to $75000 with PACTE+ coverage.
- The death indemnity coverage is for $15000 with the PACTE program within a year of a car accident. And with PACTE+ the death indemnity coverage limit is $30000.

If you notify them before 3 pm then they will respond the same day. The turnaround time for vehicle damage inspection is 1 business day or sometimes in less than 3 hours in urban areas. The inspection is done in 3 business days in a rural area. If needed these centers will refer to a rental agency or provide a temporary replacement car. The claims department reviews all the repair center estimates electronically. After the claim settlement, they will send you a cheque within 2 business days.
They have a large network of collision repair centers. The main repair centers are CSN Collision & Glass and Fix Auto all over Canada. In Ontario, they have Assured Automotive and in British Columbia, they have Craftsman Collision and AutoMind Collision centers. Any repairs that you complete through these collision repair centers are guaranteed for the car’s lifetime when you have your insurance with RSA.
