The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company offers the Chieftain Insurance product in Ontario. This company has been providing auto and home insurance to Canadians since 1999. In 2013, Travelers Canada acquired The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company. Travelers Canada, one of the largest insurers of property casualty for home, business and auto owns Chieftain since 2013. Some of the highlights of a Chieftain car insurance policy includes continuous coverage. The policy will not expire until cancellation is done. There is no renewal required and no penalty if you choose to cancel the auto policy. The car insurance premiums are rated monthly and give the benefit of a lowered rate for good driving record with immediate effect. Payment methods include online, credit card and by telephone on a monthly basis.
