CAA did not have any rate filings for the 4th quarter of 2010. The market share was 2.16% in 1st quarter of 2010. This declined to 1.05% in the 2nd quarter of 2010. The market share stayed stable at 1.05% in the 3rd quarter of 2010. CAA did not have rate filings for the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters of 2011. The market share was 1.10% in the 2nd quarter of 2010.
There were no rate filings done for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2012. CAA market share marginally increased to 1.23% in the 4th quarter of 2012. They did not file for rate changes in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters of 2013. The market share increased to 2.62% in the 3rd quarter of 2013.
CAA did not file for rate changes in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters of 2014. The market share dropped to 1.34% in the 3rd quarter of 2014. This stayed stable at the same rate in the 1st quarter of 2015. They did not file for rate changes in the 2nd and 4th quarters of 2015. There was no rate filing done for the 2nd quarter of 2016. The market share marginally increased to 1.33% in the 3rd quarter of 2016.

2010 – 2011 Rate Change Review
The rate change approved for the 1st quarter of 2010 decreased to 0.04%. There was a marginal increase to 0.64% in the 2nd quarter of 2010. The rate change approved had a good increase of 2.74% in the 3rd quarter of 2010. The CAA did not file for rate change approvals in the 4th quarter of 2010. They did not file for rate change approvals in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters of 2011.
2012 – 2014 Rate Change Review
The rate changes filed for approval marginally decreased by 0.99% in the 4th quarter of 2012. CAA did not file for rate change approvals in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2012. The 3rd quarter of 2013 saw a huge decrease of 7.93% in the rate changes approved. There were no filings for rate changes in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters of 2013. They did not file for rate changes in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters of 2014. The rate changes approved marginally decreased by 0.03% in the 3rd quarter of 2014. In that quarter around 9 insurance companies had filed for rate change approval. They represented about 26.65% of the insurance market.
2015 – 2016 Rate Change Review
CAA did not file for any rate change approvals in the 2nd and 4th quarters of 2015. Around 39 insurance companies filed for a rate change approval with the FSCO in the 1st quarter of 2015. They were representing almost 73.48% of the insurance industry. There were no rate changes in the 3rd quarter of 2015. That quarter saw 40 insurance companies filing for rate change approvals with FSCO. They represented about 77.45% of the industry. The rate change approved in the 1st quarter was a marginal decreased of 0.92%.
CAA did not file for rate changes in the 2nd quarter of 2016. There is no data for the last quarter of 2016 yet. In the 1st quarter of 2016, around 50 insurers representing 83.36% of the industry filed for a rate change approval. CAA rate changes approved for that quarter was a big decrease of 7.76%. In the 3rd quarter of 2016, the rate change approved had a decrease of 3.81%. That quarter saw about 25 insurance companies filing for a rate change approval with FSCO. They represented 63.56% of the market.

CAA Insurance offers mandatory coverage for car insurance in Ontario. The standard coverage includes liability, accident benefits, DC-PD and uninsured benefits. The following are some of the optional coverage you may get for your auto policy for more protection. There are also options to increase your coverage limits or deductibles.
Collision or Upset: This coverage will help you to claim for damages due to a collision.
Comprehensive: You can claim for any damages to your car not related to collisions. Examples may include fire, theft, vandalism etc.
Forget & Forget Plan: The coverage helps to protect your conviction-free record and retain your clean driving record.
Endorsement 20: You may add this special endorsement on your policy. You can use this coverage to claim for alternative transportation. When you have this endorsement added to your auto policy, you may claim for a replacement car. You can claim for the expenses of your replacement car when your insured car is damaged in a collision. The coverage limit is up to$900.
CAA Car Insurance Cancellation Policy
You may contact on 1877-222-1717 to cancel your car insurance policy. This can be done during the term of the policy or at renewal. Based on your insurance situation, the cancellation terms and conditions will apply to your refund. The refund is calculated on a short rate basis and will be paid to you on a priority basis. This also means that any handling fee for administration purposes will be deducted from your refund if any.
