The city of Temiskaming is in the northeastern part of the province of Ontario. The towns of Haileybury, New Liskeard, and Dymond amalgamated in 2004 to form Temiskaming Shores city. Temiskaming Shores Traffic Collisions

The City has collaborated with the Ministry of Transportation and the Ontario Provincial Police to monitor collisions in Temiskaming. The latest one was to the north of Marten River and Highway 11 on Nov 24 involving a diesel tanker. There has been an increase in motor collisions around the north and southbound traffic on this highway. This has resulted in near misses, fatalities, serious injuries and the authorities are considering adding more lanes. These passing lanes between Temiskaming Shores and North Bay will also reduce highway 17 road closures during winter.
