WordPress / Full-Stack Developer
Location: Toronto (Hybrid) or Remote (Canada) •
Type: Full-time •
Team: Product & Engineering
You’ll build and maintain the Ratelab.ca platform (and related publishing/lead workflows), ship performance improvements,
and help us scale lead routing, content automation, and partner integrations-without breaking the UX.
What you’ll do
- Build WordPress plugins and features (admin UX, settings pages, custom post types, shortcodes).
- Integrate third-party APIs (lead buyers, CRMs, email/IMAP ingestion, webhooks, tracking).
- Improve site performance (Core Web Vitals), caching safety, and reliability on shared hosting.
- Ship conversion-focused UI updates (forms, CTAs, partner routing logic, A/B test readiness).
- Write clean, maintainable code with logging, validation, and thoughtful edge-case handling.
What we’re looking for
- Strong PHP + WordPress fundamentals (hooks, WP Cron, REST API, WPDB, security best practices).
- Comfortable with JavaScript (modern admin UI, AJAX/fetch), HTML/CSS.
- Experience with API integrations (auth, rate limits, retries, error handling).
- Ability to debug production issues (logs, reproductions, minimal-risk patches).
- Bonus: experience with lead-gen funnels, SEO-safe publishing workflows, or insurance verticals.
Nice to have
- DevOps basics (Linux, cron, Nginx/Apache, SSL, backups).
- Experience with performance tooling (Lighthouse, Query Monitor), and caching plugins.
- Comfort with Python/Node for automation scripts.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience (CAD).
Benefits: Flexible schedule, remote-friendly, growth runway, and direct product ownership.
How to apply: Send your resume + GitHub/portfolio + 2–3 examples of WordPress work to

- Comfort with Figma (preferred) and/or Adobe/Canva.

You’ll help us automate research-to-publish pipelines, improve content quality controls, and build safe,
reliable AI workflows that support lead-gen and trust (not “fluff”).
What you’ll do
- Build LLM-driven pipelines for content drafting, updates, formatting, and QA checks.
- Design guardrails (fact-check workflow, citations strategy, compliance checks, hallucination controls).
- Automate ingestion from sources (news/RSS/APIs) and generate structured summaries and drafts.
- Integrate AI outputs into WordPress (draft creation, metadata, internal linking suggestions).
- Measure quality (review loops, scoring, error taxonomy) and continuously improve prompts/tools.
What we’re looking for
- Strong Python and/or Node, plus practical experience shipping AI features.
- Comfort with prompt engineering, evaluation, and “trust & safety” style constraints.
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, queues, retries, and observability (logs/metrics).
- Bonus: experience with WordPress integration and structured data (schema, metadata, formatting).
Nice to have
- RAG / retrieval systems and lightweight search indexing.
- Experience building content validators (regex rules, linting, policy checks).
- Familiarity with Canadian insurance content or regulated publishing environments.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience (CAD).
Focus: Practical automation, measurable quality, and clean integration with our publishing + lead systems.
How to apply: Send your resume + 1–2 examples of AI systems you shipped (links, repo, or write-up) to

- Verify details against source notes and flag inconsistencies.
